Cuddly Apples

This piece was an experiment because it was the first time that I used the Split Primary Pallet that Peter John Reid recommends (Ultramarine Blue, Phhtalo Blue, Primary Magenta, Napthol Red Light, Hansa Yellow Light and Hansa Yellow Deep).  A Split Primary Pallet consists of a warm and a cool version of each of the three primaries (red, blue and yellow).

So far, I have enjoyed working with this colour pallet. I also realized how much I missed working on Terra Skin. It shows each brush stroke and really makes the transparent areas of the paint pop.
